All our products check the existence of a Microsoft Office installation and automatically select the user interface theme depending on the found version. In some situations or constellations it might be usefull to disable this behaviour.

All products check the existence of a Microsoft Office installation and its version using the registry of Microsoft Windows. If there is a known version installed, the theme (visual design) of this Microsoft Office version will be used for this product too. If there is no known version found, the theme of Microsoft Windows XP will be used by default. The sense in this behaviour is to make work with our products as easy as possible for the user, because our products will look like and run like the Microsoft Office components, which the user already knows. If this behaviour is not wanted or the user wants explicitly a special theme, one of the following entries must be inserted into the configuration file, where every entry represents a special theme:
Theme = NativeWinXP
Theme = Office2000
Theme = OfficeXP
Theme = Office2003
Theme = Whidbey

The last mentioned theme represents the visual design of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (Whidbey). This the will only be used, if it is entered within the configuration file. If one of the above mentioned lines is entered within the configuration file, there will be no check for a Microsoft Office installation any more at start of the product.
